   The goal of our foundation is to support the growth and health of Christ-centered secondary education in Northeastern Ohio.  We accomplish this by awarding scholarships to Christian students who desire to be educated in a Christ-centered school environment.  In a nutshell, GCCSF bridges the gap between what a family can afford to pay for Christian education and the actual cost of that education. 

  The focus of this website is to champion the value of Christian education and offer you an opportunity to participate in this vital ministry.  By understanding the pivotal role Christian education plays in the lives of our children, families, and ultimately our country, we pray you will want to partner with us with your prayers and financial gifts. 

Our History
  Greater Cleveland Christian Schools opened its doors in a southwest suburb of Cleveland in 1996.  Beginning with 7th. grade, we added a grade every year until 12th.  As an independent evangelical school our livelihood depended on tuition and gifts from donors.
  Our eight year history was marked with many successes including a graduate accepted at West Point, better standardized test scores than most local private and public schools, and most importantly, dozens of students who accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
  After several years of declining enrollment, the Board of Trustees voted to close the school at the end of the 2004 school year.  By the grace of God and the vision of the board, however, the students were not left high and dry.  We converted the proceeds from the sale of the land and buildings into an endowment fund which provides income to award scholarships.
  From a scriptural point of view when the vine dresser pruned our branch it was to enable more abundant new growth further on down the vine.  Now, rather than champion just one school, we champion Christian education in general and invite you to partner with us.

Our Challenge
  The challenge facing Greater Cleveland Christian Schools Foundation is to continue to meet the scholarship needs of students who want a Christian school environment.  As we succeed in raising money, awarding scholarships, and building our endowment, more and more students and families will be touched.  If you are sensing the "tug" of the Holy Spirit upon your heart moving you to pitch in and help, please be open to His leading--we need you!
